Enterprise Technical Support Analyst – Proactive Maintenance
Location: Round Rock, TX
Position is responsible for providing telephone/email/chat and remote diagnostic technical support of servers, storage, switches, routers, blades and various software applications (Windows, VMWare, Exchange, Oracle, Netware, etc.).
Answers questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization, performance, and usage of assigned products. Verifies warranty entitlement and determines appropriate action.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide answers to technical questions for customers about PowerEdge servers and PowerVault arrays and EqualLogic arrays.
- Remotely perform firmware/driver/software maintenance upgrades on PowerEdge servers and PowerVault arrays and EqualLogic arrays.
Qualifications
Required Experience/Skills
- Technical Support and Configuration experience with:
- PowerVault arrays
- EqualLogic Arrays
- iSCSI Initiator configuration best practices
- PowerEdge servers (including blades)
- Experience with at least two of the following Operating Systems: Windows, VMware, Linux (RHEL/SLES), and/or XenServer
- Excellent customer relations skills
