GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — More than 100 will soon be up for grabs in Grand Junction. The new American Furniture warehouse is hiring this week.

The store says they’re interviewing for about 120 jobs. The positions include managers, janitors and warehouse workers. Each position starts at at least $14 an hour.

If you want to apply, the store’s human resources staff will be at the Mesa County Workforce Center on Thursday. They will be accepting applications from 9 a.m to 3 p.m.

The store anticipates opening at the end of October or early November.

Elitch Gardens is looking for actors to play zombies, goblins and ghouls at its annual Fright Fest.

Tracy Durham, director of marketing for the park, said it will need 75 actors to inhabit haunted houses and roam the park in costume during Fright Fest, which will run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from Oct. 1 through Oct. 31, except for Oct. 7.

The park will hold open auditions for performers Saturdays and Sundays though the rest of the month. The auditions will be held at Elitch Gardens’ Human Resource Department, 1338 First St., Denver. Actors must be 18 or older with a valid ID.

Retail Manager

• Boulder Nordic Sport seeks a Retail Manager for its Boulder, CO store. The Retail Manager will administer all aspects of retail operations including merchandising, employee scheduling, shipping, receiving and order fulfillment. Qualified candidates are detail oriented, good with people, have strong computer skills and have experience managing in the retail environment. Ski industry or specialty sport store experience is helpful but not necessary.

• The Retail Manager position is a full-time, year-round position. Salary range is $45,000-$65,000 plus bonuses and benefits, depending on experience. Summer flex time is also possible.

• Boulder Nordic Sport seeks Retail Associates for its Boulder, Colorado store. Part- and Full-Time Retail Associate positions are available September 15-March 15. Retail Associates will have a wide range of responsibilities ranging from sales and merchandising to fulfillment of internet orders.
