The Network Support Analyst supports the operations of a large customer healthcare network including responding to customer requests for service and for issue resolution. Position reports to Network Manager. Other responsibilities are as follows:
• Monitors and maintains network devices and resolves problems
• Ensures availability of network systems and through proactive as well as reactive maintenance
• Manages, resolves and documents issues and events related to environment availability
• Communicates with all stakeholders (customers, project teams, end users, etc.) to address system issues
• Exercises judgment in situations which have undefined practices and policies
• Applies a basic knowledge of network fundamentals; TCP/IP, OSI Model, LAN & WAN
• Participate in 24x7x365 on-call rotation
• Assist in the Change Management process
• Respond to voice-mail and emails in a timely manner
• Applies knowledge to analyze and develop solutions to highly complex problems
Qualifications
Required Skills:
• Basic understanding of routing and switching protocols
• Demonstrated ability to quickly respond to network-related issues that could be impacting critical patient care
• Understanding of key business drivers and ability to communicate and translate those needs to technical solutions
• Able to work on-site & multiple shifts in a 24 x 7 environment
• Excellent Excel and Visio skills

Over 500 new jobs expected at Caterpillar in Clayton

CLAYTON, Ohio — Caterpillar is celebrating the opening of its new Clayton Parts Distribution Center

State and local officials were on hand at noon Monday for the grand opening of the new facility at 600 Hoke Rd. in Clayton.

The 1.6 million square-foot-facility is part of Caterpiller Logistics’ multi-year expansion and enhancement of the North American Cat parts distribution network.

The facility is expected to employ 600 people when fully operational and dependent on market demand. Read more

500 poker and table game dealers needed in Clevelend

Dan Gilbert’s gambling company and Caesars Entertainment Corp.  will be opening the doors to Horseshoe Casino Cleveland early next year. But before that happens they are looking for for “500 poker and table game dealers and supervisors. The dealer positions will pay between $35,000 and $40,000 annually with a full benefits package. Supervisors will earn $40,000 or more. No casino experience is necessary.”

Applications are only accepted online at Horseshoe Casino Cleveland. You have until noon Friday, Sept. 30th to submit one.

The present hiring represents the first installment on the 1,600 people who will be needed by the time the casino opens in the Higbee Building next March.
